One Year Later

Obviously this blog has not been updated in a while--after a few weeks of telling myself "I'll get to it soon", I just decided to leave this as is. The point of this blog was and still is to serve as a guide for future finalists, and the rest of the entries don't contain too much that's particularly important for them to know--and plus, aren't some things better left as surprises? ;)

For a brief update, I'm currently a tremendously happy freshman at Yale University (the lovely Jonathan Edwards College). I'll probably be majoring in Astronomy and Physics, but I'm still keeping in mind a few less sciency options. College is lots of fun and the bonds between my year's finalists are no weaker than they were 11 months ago. Just last night I went to see one of the finalists perform with his a capella group, and the massive e-mail list is still growing strong (I've probably gotten 15-20 e-mails today, at least, but today's unusually busy, what with a finalist's birthday and certain other topics of discussion that I can't quite relay here).

I might some day post notes from the rest of the trip, a few new posts are still saved here as drafts. I'm leaving the blog up, with minor modifications, for the sake of this year's batch of finalists that just got announced a couple of weeks ago. Good luck, guys!
